Terms of use
By using Symvana you agree to these terms. Please read the medical disclaimer in particular. Last updated .
Medical disclaimer
Symvana provides general information for education. It is not medical advice, and it doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Using Symvana doesn’t create a doctor and patient relationship.
Always talk to a qualified eye care professional about your symptoms, before starting or stopping any treatment, and before changing any medication. Never ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on Symvana.
If you have eye pain, a sudden change in vision, strong light sensitivity, a very red eye or an eye injury, seek care promptly. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
Our tools
The Dry Eye Profile, Blink Test, Eye Break Timer and Drop Decoder give educational estimates. They aren’t intended to diagnose or treat any condition, and they can be inaccurate. Results shouldn’t be used to make medical decisions without an eye care professional.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep our content accurate and current, and we cite our sources. Medical knowledge changes, though, and we can’t guarantee that everything is complete or up to date. Product details and prices can change without notice.
Links, products and partners
Symvana links to other websites and retailers, some through affiliate links. We aren’t responsible for their content, products or services. Clinics in our network are independent businesses, and any care you receive from them is between you and the clinic. See our disclosure.
Products. Symvana doesn’t make or sell any products. Product information on Symvana is general and may not suit you. Always read and follow the label, and check with a pharmacist or eye doctor before using a new product, especially if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have allergies, wear contact lenses, have had eye surgery or are being treated for an eye condition. Stop using any product that causes pain or irritation.
No warranties
Symvana, its content and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
Using the site
You may use Symvana for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t copy our content or tools for commercial use, scrape the site in a way that disrupts it, or submit false information through our forms.
Intellectual property
The content, design, tools and brand of Symvana belong to Symvana. You’re welcome to link to any page and quote short passages with attribution.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Symvana isn’t liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of the site, its tools or information, or from products or services provided by third parties.
